Most over-achieving and under-achieving clubs

Until the end of the season, the CIES Football Observatory, in conjunction with RunningBall, will publish a weekly follow up on our exclusive big five league predictions.

For each championship, our academic team will use analysis of exclusive statistical data to confirm the five most over and under-achieving clubs in the relevant leagues.

The teams published by the Observatory have the highest positive or negative gap between the current ranking and that estimated by our data model.

To add strength to our research, we also indicate the level of statistical significance of the model used league by league.
