The annual census on footballers in Europe undertaken by the PFPO has been completed. For the first time, we have benefited from the support of the Opta Sports Data company. The survey concerned a sample of 36 top division leagues of UEFA countries, six more compared to last year. On the whole, 528 clubs and 12,520 players have been taken into account. The key results will be published in the second edition of the “Demographic Study of Footballers in Europe”, which will be available from mid-January 2010. The 64-page report will include a large number of indicators on topics such as, among others, height, age, international flows, training, professional experience of players, etc. All the indicators will be presented by league, by level of the latter, and by position.
